The Preserve Farm at Little Choga specializes in American Livestock Breeds Conservancy of poultry and beef. Our poultry consists of Ohio Buckeye Chickens, Red Bourbon and Royal Palm Turkeys and Silver Appleyard Ducks. We currently have a Dexter Bull on the farm. Our Miniature Donkey oversees the pasture for predators and our little Pony provides rides for visitors. Touch an Alpaca or an Angora Rabbit whose fleeces are used to make soft and luxurious clothing. The Pygmy Goats or Annie, the White Tail Deer, usually greets you first. Of course we should not leave out the two Hampshire Pigs who can make a lot of noise but are very friendly.

Come and enjoy fishing in our pond which is fed by a pristine mountain stream originating in the beautiful Nantahala National Forest. The Preserve Farm at Little Choga’s stocked Trout and Catfish pond is a great place for the kids to catch a fish for dinner. We can supply you with the poles, bucket, net and worms; no license is required. So come and have a wonderful time and take home a delicious meal for the family to enjoy.
